Problems with dispersion of conductive carbon black in lithium batteries

Conductive carbon black is an important additive for lithium ion battery cathode electrode.

Its role is to improve the electron transfer between the positive electroactive material coating and the collector, reduce the contact resistance of the electrode interface, and play the role of depolarization.

Under the charging and discharging cycle conditions, the cycle life of the battery was increased by 47.1%. The effect of surface-modified conductive carbon in improving the battery cycle life is due to the improved interfacial bonding state between the conductive carbon black and the cathode material.
